WHY IS OUR 15% VITAMIN C BUZZWORTHY?

We’ve all been told to drink OJ or take citric daily supplements, especially when our body needs some extra love -- Vitamin C holds the crown for its unmatched healing powers, from the inside out. This vital antioxidant has countless good-for-you properties including supporting the immune system by protecting and maintaining cell health and repairing tissues for healthy bones, blood vessels, and skin. Music to our ears!

As in our Sunrise Glow Serum, Vitamin C can be used topically to help treat and prevent skin aging, aid in fading dark spots and hyperpigmentation, and guard the skin from free radicals. With so much goodness packed into a single ingredient, we’ve intentionally incorporated an optimal (unheard of) concentration of 15% in our AM serum. Our in-house expert team recommends daily use for protecting against oxidation (which creates fine lines and wrinkles) and overall skin firmness for youthful, supple results.

Our personal favorite part is the healthy radiance Vitamin C leaves behind -- we like to call it the indē wild GLOW! Don’t believe us? Check out how the tribe feels (here)!.

Product FAQs:

  1. How should the Sunrise Glow Serum be used and stored?

After cleansing, apply the product in the morning and before moving on to moisturizer and SPF. Go ahead, be generous – we’ve specifically formulated this serum for the face, neck and body. We suggest giving it some time to fully absorb into the skin before heading out the door and exposure to the sun.

Our ingredients are happiest when stored in a cool, dark place and pack the most punch when used immediately. Due to the nature of the pure L-ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), it’s best to keep the product away from direct light (sunlight or otherwise) or heat source. While some shift in color from pale yellow to orange is normal for high concentrations of Vitamin C, light and heat can intensify it.

1. Why do Vitamin C products in general sometimes have a slight smell?

Many don’t notice the smell at all, but others do -- not to worry, this is common for such a high concentration of Vitamin C, and especially when in combination with Ferulic Acid, an antioxidant that works to boost the efficacy of other ingredients while also reducing the development and appearance of fine lines and spots.

 2. What if I have sensitive skin?

For those new to using Vitamin C and those with sensitive skin, we recommend patch testing the product on a small area before full application or starting with every other day usage.

3. Is a slight tingly feeling normal?

Skin feeling a little tingly? Don’t stress, it’s part of the process! You may experience a slight zing causing your skin to feel more sensitive. Our advice is to use it in smaller doses spread across the week, for maximum and safe results.
