Are wedding bells ringing? Getting ready to tie the knot?
If you are the bride to be or just want to look spectacular this wedding season, you need to make sure that you pay attention to your skin and hair well in advance.
But your skin and hair care routines need not be super complicated – just a few simple additions to your regular routine and you should be ready to shine in all the wedding pics!
10 tips for your wedding skincare routine (and hair too)!
Good skin and hair do not come overnight – these are results of gradual and constant processes; good habits that you practise on a regular basis and here are the ones that should be into your list:
1. Start now!
If you want skin and hair that everyone falls in love with, you need to start right away, because it is never too late to start good habits and once you are committing to a routine, make sure that you stick to it. If you are looking for specifically pre wedding skincare or hair care regimes, start at least 3 months in advance.
2. Keep it simple
Because these are routines that you need to follow on a regular basis, it is best that you keep it simple! Rather than investing in too many products, or choosing to make your daily routine long winded and complicated, stick to the basic products from indē wild and you will be sorted. Start your day with our AM Sunrise Glow Serum, which will nourish your skin and make it radiant and end the day with the PM Sunset Restore Serum, which will help your skin heal and rejuvenate.
3. CTM
Yup – the most basic and most simple of skin care rules – cleanse, tone and moisturise. Do this every single day, without fail and your skin will thank you for it! Invest in a good quality face cleanser that is mild and gentle and if you are using our products, then you can skip the toner and moisturiser, because you get both in one single product. Our serums are designed to give you pretty much all the skin care you need and ingredients such as bakuchiol, hyaluronic acid and squalane will ensure that your skin feels plump and moisturised at all times!
4. Screen from the sun
Oh yes, protecting your skin from the sun is absolutely essential for your skin, and you need to make sure that you invest in a really good quality sunscreen. Apply it every time you are planning to step out of the house and do not skip this step!
5. Scrubs and masks
Whether you pick something from your favourite brand or you are planning on some homemade remedies that your mother swears by, getting ready for a wedding means that you will need some scrubs and masks. While scrubs are a good way to exfoliate skin, remove all dead skin cells and reveal healthier looking skin, masks can offer deep moisturising to your skin.
6. Don’t forget the pout
It’s the wedding season; whether you are the bride or not, you need to make sure that your pout is perfect in every photo, which means that you need to pay attention to your lips as well. The easiest way to do it would be to pick a tube of our Dewy Lip Treatment, that will intensely nourish and hydrate your lips and also give you that instant glossy gratification!
7. Your crowning glory needs some care too
You are spending a lot of time taking care of your skin, but you do need to think about hair care before the wedding too! If you are planning any hair colours, then it is best that you try out the same as early as possible, because you would not want any nasty surprises at the last minute. Make sure that you have regular hair oiling sessions – use Champi hair oil at least once a week and make our Moonlight Scalp Serum the PM routine for your scalp!
8. Cut and condition
In the days leading up to the wedding, you can indulge in a cut and deep conditioning – rather than getting your haircut right before the wedding, it is best that you get the cutting and styling out of the way at least a few weeks beforehand. That way, in case something goes wrong, there is time to recover from it! A deep conditioning hair spa will add to the benefits that you would already be reaping from our hair oil and serum.
9. Eat healthy, drink right!
What you put into your body is eventually going to show on the body as well! Hydration for your skin and hair will come from serums and oils, but you need to hydrate from within too, which means that at least 8-10 glasses of water a day is essential. Same goes for your diet – while the occasional binge is ok, you need to make sure that your regular diet has plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Fruit smoothies, veggie soups, salads and bowls are all good for your skin and hair!
10. Keep calm and carry on!
Stress, lack of sleep, long hours are all eventually going to show up on your skin and hair and when you are concentrating on hair and skin care before wedding season arrives, then you need to make sure that you keep your mind and body relaxed. Get your proper hours of sleep, make sure that you take some time to relax, pick some form of physical activity that will make you sweat and be happy! After all, you are getting ready for a time of joy and celebration!
